September 27, 2010 (2nd Update)

Just to contrast the bad news with some good....Mom actually turned her head to see visitors this afternoon. She tried to respond as much as she could and also smiled again. This news alone makes my day. As long as she can continue to fight off the fevers and be strong, news like this is a blessing!!!

  2. Katrina-that is such great news, thank you for posting. I just found a book I think your dad will like, so I'm sending it with my mom tomorrow. Is there anything else you can think of that I can send with her? Does he have something to hold his book up while he reads? I would think it difficult hold a book with his injured hands.
You've done a beautiful job with this blog. Thank you for taking the time to keep us all posted!
    Lots of love your way!

  3. I have always said that Mom is a Superwoman! This post just made my day. :)

Nadine, I know that you will be reading this soon and for when you do I just want to say that I love you. I truly cherish you and Bobby like parents and always have. I cannot thank you enough for all the time and love you've given me. For the all the lessons you've taught me, every bra you've stuffed, giant tree you've helped build, and boob-cover you've sewn! I cannot wait until I can hug you again Mom. Keep fighting!

  4. Your Mom is the strongest woman I know & the most beautiful person inside and out & she always will be. She's always been there for me through the good and the bad ever since I was born. I know that she will fight these fevers and win. It's nice to hear that she smiled, I can't wait to see it for myself. Tell your Mom & Dad that the kids and I love him and we will be there to visit sometime soon, Love you
